BMW has a reputation of producing great short films to show off its adaptable and widely-lauded range, thanks to the eight action shorts in 'The Hire' series.
With actor Clive Owen playing The Driver, the films displayed the BMW range of the early 2000s in diverse situations, showing the excitement that every model had available.
Eight famous directors directed the series of films, including Alejandro G. Iñárritu, Guy Ritchie and Ang Lee, and other well-known faces joined the unnamed driver in the shorts, including Madonna, Forest Whitaker and Gary Oldman to name but a few. But now, The Driver is back in a new film, and with Clive Owen reprising his role, BMW presents 'The Escape'.
Directed by Academy Award nominated director Neill Blomkamp (District 9, Elysium), Owen is joined by Dakota Fanning (War of the Worlds) and Jon Bernthal (Daredevil) to show off the new 5 Series.
Using the 5 Series as a getaway car, Owen shows supreme skill to take the dynamic saloon through extreme situations. Now available on the BMW Films website, you can watch the rollercoaster ride of 'The Escape' and see how Owen utilises the newly-engineered 5 Series.
