BMWs for the Business Commuter

For business users, style, comfort and performance are important features on their cars that help to make them more efficient workers and can get them to and from events in good time.

BMW aims to offer all of these attributes throughout our range of saloons, with the 3 and 5 Series models aimed at the independent businessperson, thanks to their great performance and spacious design.

Since its introduction in 1975, the 3 Series has been a popular model on the world’s roads and with this latest model, the practical and advanced features help to make it one of the best cars on the road right now.

With the spacious cabin and boot, the 3 Series is capable of carrying a lot of stuff, whilst leaving plenty of space to travel in comfort, and with performance also an important aspect of a businessperson’s car, the 3 Series offers good acceleration, speed and economy from the entry level 316d SE model.

Even on the sportier 3 Series models, efficient driving is very possible, with the 320d ED Sport offering an impressive 104 g/km of CO2 emissions. This is thanks to the combination of BMW diesel and petrol engines with an 8-speed Steptronic automatic transmission, helping to keep your drive as environmentally friendly as possible.

Inside, the BMW ConnectedDrive system helps to combine the fast and adaptive GPS navigation system with BMW Teleservices and Emergency Call, making sure that both you and the car are up to speed with servicing and travel disruption.

As well as the 3 Series, the 5 Series saloon is a key part of the business style range, and adds to the already well-equipped 3 series with extra technology and space.

With 50:50 weight distribution across the chassis, the performance is honed to make sure the 5 Series the best driving experience possible, whilst providing security with light and strengthened bodywork.

Thanks to the Integral Active steering, manoeuvrability at either high or low speeds is exceptional, with the rear wheels moving in the opposite direction to the front wheels at low speeds to help with agility, and then moving in the same direction at higher speeds to enhance stability.

With additional driver modes to help you alter the performance to your needs, such as ECO PRO mode or Sport mode, you can get anywhere in the way you want to.

Thanks to efficient diesel and petrol engines combined with either a manual or automatic gearbox, the miles per gallon figures are impressive for such a spacious and well-performing saloon, with the entry level 518d SE offering 65.7mpg.
