February results in a brilliant month for BMW.
According to sales, 151,952 automobiles have been sold from the start of the year. An incredible 7.3 per cent increase compared to last year’s sales in February.
Ian Robertson, a member of the board management of BMW AG, Sales and Marketing BMW, was extremely satisfied with the result, commenting, “We’ve had a good start to the year with February setting another sales record”.
Adding, “I am confident that our fresh model line-up, including the brand new BMW 2 Series Gran Tourer and the updated BMW 1 Series we’ve just premiered at the Geneva Motor Show, will provide the momentum to keep us growing in 2015”.
With February proving to be BMW’s month, its BMW 2 Series range is set for high demand with a total of 7,302 vehicles delivered to customers in February alone, even though the 2 Series Active Tourer had accounted for the vast amount of those sales with a total of 5,360 vehicles delivered.
BMW will soon be releasing its new larger 2 Series Gran Tourer, which they expect to achieve high results based on the active Tourer’s success when it comes to the European market in June. This will be the German automakers first seven-seater in this segment available with four-wheel drive.
X5 sales were up 46 per cent from last year and the 4X4 continues to be a leading growth driver for the brand. The BMW 4 Series was also sold to a total of 9,636 customers in February, putting the seal on BMW’s best ever February sales results to date.
