In conjunction with the Festival of Motoring Online Motor Show, The Telegraph is holding its very first motoring awards. The Telegraph’s Festival of Motoring starts on 29th April and motoring enthusiasts who register will have a chance to tour the exhibits online. This will involve some very clever ‘walk arounds’ of the models showcased where you can investigate interiors and even book a real test drive of anything that takes your fancy.
In the run up to the event there is a chance to vote for your favourite luxury car. One contender on the list is a BMW 7 Series, which we believe fits the bill of luxury car perfectly – but what are the judges looking for?
Well, the luxury car sector is hard to define. It can mean exclusive and expensive, and could also be defined by the interior and accessories; but many cars of all classes can lay claim to some element of luxury to fit the bill.
Here are just a few things that could see the 7 Series win this year’s award:
The 7 Series has an exceptionally elegant, striking exterior combining the elegance of an executive saloon with contemporary, sporting edge.
The luxurious interior can be tailored to express your personal tastes.
Drive Dynamic Control allows the driving experience to be adjusted to suit your driving style.
BMW EfficientDynamics allows the 730d, for example, to reach 62 mph in 7.2 seconds, reaching a max speed of 153 mph. Yet fuel consumption is just 39.2 mpg on the combined cycle and CO2 emissions are just 192 g/km.
Place your vote for the BMW 7 Series today. Winners will be announced at the close of the festival on May 3rd 2013.
