5 Reasons You Want a BMW 2 Series Coupe in 2014

It’s bigger, better and more powerful than its predecessor – it’s the BMW 2 Series Coupé – here to replace the previous 1 Series!

You can expect a selection of high octane improvements to standard equipment along with more space inside, a longer wheelbase, enhanced driving dynamics and a design that is athletic, purposeful and guaranteed to turn heads.

Although production will begin on three engines in November 2013, these are the 220i, 220d and the range-topping M235i, the 2 Series Coupé will not be available to buy until 8th March 2014. Also in March next year, production will begin on the 218d and 225d with Sport automatic transmission.

If you fancy crossing the Atlantic, you can catch a glimpse of the new BMW 2 Series Coupé at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit on 13 January 2014, where the 2 Series Coupé will be making its world premier. However, if crossing the pond is not an option, you can contact your local Cooper dealership where staff will be more than happy to book a test drive for when the 2 Series lands in the UK!

Sport, Comfort and ECO PRO modes are included as standard, whilst an additional Sport + mode is added on all Sport or M Sport models, or with selected items of optional equipment.
ECO PRO - get rewarded for fuel efficient driving.
For drivers that opt to drive with the environment in mind, this mode helps reduce the amount of power consumed by the ancillary and smoothes out the throttle inputs.
