BMW M1 Coupe
The new BMW 1 Series M Coupe brings the legendary performance of the M range to the entry level BMW Series. Combining the hi-tech efficiency of the 1 Series’ EfficientDynamics programme which decreases emissions whilst increasing performance with the sheer power and joy of the M Series.
The new M Coupe has been built up from an adapted M3 chassis, ensuring the same wide stance and unmistakeable rigidity through even the most aggressive cornering. Developing 0-60mph in a sensational 4.9 seconds – that’s only 0.1 seconds less than the M3 – the new BMW Series 1 M Coupe certainly doesn’t skimp on performance. There’s no compromise in looks either. Large air intake scoops on the bonnet, flared wheel arches, a rear spoiler and twin chrome exhausts mean that the new M Coupe looks the part too.
Interior styling is given the same M series twist. The BMW 1 Series M Coupe is treated to racetrack styled leather seats, with a smart orange stitching and anthracite trim. The dash and gear stick have been given the authentic M series overhaul too, with the M logo appearing on both the gear stick and the rev counter. They have also let a carefully regulated amount of engine noise enter the cabin for the genuine racetrack atmosphere.
The new M Coupe delivers an outstanding emissions level of only 224g/km; and develops a very respectable 29.4 mpg.
